Congratulations Rebecca. You should be proud of your achievement. Please, please, please, please don't ever forget that mailer that came to our households just prior to the election. I was not 100% sure I was going to vote for you until I received that. Please let that always remind you that you don't need to be associated with that type of political persona. Please remain independent of strict party ideology and remain LOUD AND VOCAL...we are depending on you.
uhhh...To Anonymous...You couldn't be more wrong...I rarely decide in the first few days of a primary or an election cycle who I am going to vote for. Only my decision to NOT vote for Mario Cuomo as Governor of NY State against George Pataki came quickly...every other decision is weighed back and forth until the election or a few days prior. I am what is referred to as a voter that educates himself. Burney wouldn't stand up against that hot mess of a Mayor or Jerry...and the mailer sealed it. Simply saying "it was Jerry's not mine" was not good enough. What could have helped?? - " I am disgusted and disheartened that Jerry Green would do something like that in the name of my bid to be elected again to office. I want the voters to know and Jerry Green himself that I do not approve of what he did and I hope he realizes how wrong it was."
Thanks for your great enthusiasm, but I don't expect that Jim (Piv) will throw in the towel--he is not a quitter! I look forward to a spirited fall campaign.
Congratulations Rebecca! I hope you can bring more arts, culture and "livability" to our downtown. Looking forward to seeing great things from you!
ReplyDeleteYOU GO, GIRL!!! NOW YOU GOT THE WINGS, NOW YOU'RE GONNA FLY!!
