As you
know, the June 2 Democratic Primary Election is just 3 weeks away. I am
supporting Barry
Goode for At-large Councilman for the 1st and 4th Wards—in COLUMN C. Many longtime Plainfielders, and especially
parents in the Plainfield School District, know Barry as a
neighborhood activist, 4th Ward community leader, dedicated church volunteer, and as a devoted father to
his children. A longtime mentor to children, and especially to our boys and
young men, he is an outstanding role model. As you know, this is a pretty big city when you have to walk it— Barry has been knocking on doors
each and every day in the two wards with his message of change. In case Barry knocked on your door when you weren't home, we are hosting a "Meet & Greet" this evening (Thursday, May 14) at Campaign Headquarters, 617 Park Avenue, so that you can connect with Barry and hear his vision for the 1st and 4th Wards. is clear that the 1st and 4th Wards need better representation—if you have been
watching the council meetings, you see that the political games of Jerry Green
and the council members who support him have put Plainfield last, and Jerry
first. This has got to end. Last year, the outstanding candidate Charles McRae
lost the 3rd Ward primary election by a mere
56 votes—if he had only gotten 29 of those votes, he would be our
councilman, instead of the self-important obstructionist who now sits there.
This is how close our Plainfield elections are. So, Barry Goode for Plainfield
Council--I am also supporting my colleague, Cory Storch for re-election as 2nd
Ward Councilman, and your neighbors--The Plainfield Democratic
