At this time last year, I was still leading the charge on the city council to pass the Earned Sick Leave ordinance in Plainfield to protect our most vulnerable workers. After several more months of obstructionism and excuses, and with the added vote of new Councilman Barry Goode, we finally got enough votes to pass the ordinance.
