On
Sunday, July 8,* I will be attending The Puerto Rican
Family Cultural Parade & Festival in Elizabeth, hosted by the Puerto Rican
Alliance of Elizabeth, NJ, Inc.** The parade starts at Union Square on Elizabeth
Avenue and ends on Front Street at Todd Bowles Field, where the festival will
take place. Among the family-friendly events will be face painting and
recreational activities for the kids, food and craft vendors, a car and
motorcycle show, and cultural presentations. Sponsored by the Union County
Board of Chosen Freeholders, the City of Elizabeth, and Verizon, this
fun-filled day is a celebration of Puerto Rican heritage and culture. Come out and
enjoy the day!
